Maryland is participating in a national program to eliminate central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs).
On the CUSP: Stop BSI was developed by Johns Hopkins’ Dr. Peter Pronovost and piloted in Michigan. The program is supported by the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality and is being expanded across the country by the American Hospital Association’s Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET). MHA’s Council on Clinical & Quality Issues supports the participation of all Maryland hospitals in this important initiative.
Maryland is part of Cohort 5 for this national initiative.
