Summary of the 2006 Initiative

MHA's Community Hospitals Connection policy council is sponsoring a statewide initiative this fall
in which hospitals are encouraged to host roundtables for community members during October 2006. The purpose of the initiative is to educate Marylanders about pandemic flu while showcasing a collaborative hospital initiative designed to benefit communities across the state. The focus of the roundtables is to educate members of the community about the potential of a flu pandemic, discuss what is being planned at the federal, state, and local levels, and provide guidance for what individuals can do to prepare.

For more information, please revisit this Web site often as it will be updated with information and resources as they become available.
